By registering as a driver, you consent to being sent jobs by Takeaway Taxi. Fulfilling these jobs/orders can be opted out of, at the end of your agreed contract length.
Takeaway Taxi Services
Takeaway Taxi provides the following services through our website:
- The ability to order from local restaurants for home deliver;
- The ability to access our website to see what we are offering to participating local restaurants;
- The ability to post your own reviews about your experience. This is at our discretion and is subject to change at any time without prior notice.
Warranties
We do not accept responsibility for accuracy, temperature/quality of the food, whilst travelling.
We expect the product to be delivered in the package as provided by the outlet.
This does not mean we do not take any precautions. We intend to deliver the order exactly as it was handed over to the driver by the outlet.
Limited Liability
We are not responsible nor do we accept any responsibility for your order or for any loses resulting in using our ordering site. If it results in a breach of our terms and conditions or our negligence then compensation will not exceed 20%. Takeaway Taxi will not be responsible to any consequential losses, direct or indirect losses resulting in using our service / online service.
We simply pick up and deliver the package and do no more than that.
Delivery Policy
The order is selected, paid for, sent to the outlet / delivery driver who then delivers to the customer. Once each order is complete that exact order will be sent out. Any disputes arising from content delivered will refer back to this original order.
Outlets/drivers will only refer to the order and its instructions. If they have any questions they will contact you using the mobile phone number provided.
At the point of order, customers are given an estimated delivery time when we expect your order to be delivered. This delivery time is an estimate, not a guarantee.
Once an order has been processed and confirmed, you have agreed a contract for this order to be processed and delivered to the registered address.
Once an order has been placed, customers cannot change or amend the order that has been completed.
If items of the order are not available the outlet/driver will contact you using the mobile number provided for you to choose an alternative.
We make no guarantee as to the availability of driver(s) and whether they will accept the order.
If an order has been declined or rejected, customers will be notified and at this point and customers can resend their order or start a new order.
We reserve the right to change the driver(s) job with another job at any time, without prior consent.
Customers are entitled to a refund only after they have followed the dispute resolution process outlined in section Dispute Resolution Process.
We reserve the right to reject orders that is deemed to be unfit for purpose.
Our Refund Policy
Customers are entitled to a refund only after they have followed the dispute resolution process outlined in section Dispute Resolution Process.
All refund requests must be made within 7 days of payment, any requests made after this time will not be considered.
We accept no responsibility to refund credit on customers accounts from payments made erroneously.
Order Cancellation
We reserve the right to cancel any orders that contain references to defamatory, illegal or offensive material.
We reserve the right to cancel any orders.
Orders cancelled for the above reasons will be refunded in full and the customers will be notified by email.
Refunds must be requested within the timeframe permitted by our payment provider.
Refund payments must be issued through the same payment method as they were made.
We reserve the right to close the accounts and deny access to individuals we suspect of making fraudulent or suspicious payments.
You must allow up to 1 hour 30 mins for an order to arrive before contacting us.
Checking Orders
Responsibility ultimately belongs to the outlet. Drivers will receive a receipt for the transaction that they will verify with the original order.
Once orders have been placed the driver and the allocated member of staff from the outlet will check through the order and make sure all items are included before leaving.
The drivers are not authorised to go into the packaging or to handle the food.
Dispute Resolution Process
Takeaway Taxi will mediate all disputes arising between customers, drivers and outlets and will endeavour to resolve these disputes and agree on a satisfactory outcome for all parties.
If customers are unhappy with an order that has been delivered, they must follow this procedure before any further action can be taken. We reserve the right to uphold or reject complaints at our sole discretion.
In the first instance, customers who are unhappy with an order must offer the outlet and driver the opportunity to amend the order based on feedback. This feedback must be clear and accurate. Contact us on 01473 614160 or 07563552996.
If, once the driver and outlet has amended the order, the customer is still unhappy, they should escalate the case with Takeaway Taxi by providing their order ID and details of their complaint.
The Takeaway Taxi support team will review the issues reported by the customer. If it is felt that the order does not meet the original order, in the first instance they will be offered the opportunity to make their order available to another driver. If it is deemed that the order matches the specification outlined in the first instance then we reserve the right to reject the complaint.
If the customer is unwilling to continue their order, we will refund the cost of their order, in full, providing this request is made no more than 3 hours after the order is placed and the either the driver or outlet is deemed to be at fault.
Refunds may take up to 5 working days to process.
Our Pricing Policy
Restaurants may list a lower price than our price but this lower price cannot be associated with our prices, specials or vouchers or errors in the menu by the participating restaurants. These prices are online prices only.
Takeaway Taxi does not charge the users of its website for ordering food online.
Prices are set to deliver within the 3 miles radius however we can deliver outside the 3 mile radius for an additional delivery fee.
Our Payment Terms
On completion of an order the customer has a legal responsibility to pay for that order.
Customers who refuse to pay cash on delivery after completing an order are breaking a legal agreement. The information provided will be used with any third party of our choice to recover what is owed which will include any fees charged by the third party. In this case, we reserve the right to share your information with any third party.
Promotional Material
We will provide promotional material on this website and it is down to our discretion which rates we will pass on to any of our customers.
Promotions and discounts outside this website will not apply.
